We all went to Crenshaw High School together in South Central Los Angeles[00:00:10]

And I had the idea of let's make a metal band[00:00:14]

Let's make rock band[00:00:16]

Because I had been to Europe[00:00:18]

And I noticed that the kids would mosh off of hip-hop[00:00:19]

So we put the band together and I used the three bands[00:00:23]

That were my favourites at the time to set the tone[00:00:26]

We used the impending doom of a group like Black Sabbath[00:00:30]

Who pretty much invented metal[00:00:33]

The punk sensibility of somebody like Suicidal[00:00:36]

Who basically put that gangbanger style from[00:00:39]

Venice California into the game[00:00:42]

And the speed and the precision of Slayer[00:00:44]

One of my favourite groups and always will be[00:00:48]

Trapped in purgatory[00:01:39]
