Boreal - Hundred Waters[00:00:00]
There's a pleasant port where a boy fixed his course[00:00:23]
On a lesser-trodden landscape north[00:00:29]
On his journey boreal met one corporeal[00:00:34]
One returning journey forth[00:00:42]
What draws you to the barren there he said[00:00:46]
That land is nothing but dampen dread[00:00:51]
And sour berries and rotten cherries[00:00:56]
And icy rime and that snowy snowy pine[00:01:02]
That bleak bare lawn is woebegone[00:01:11]
But carry carry carry on[00:01:19]
Oh no he said You must have misunderstood[00:01:44]
It's not though land's comestible goods[00:01:54]
Not the berry that I seek [00:02:05]
The way it hangs on the arrow wood[00:02:11]
And I am not after that snowy shawl[00:02:17]
But the way the faint flakes float and fall[00:02:22]
And to me that alabaster milky rime[00:02:28]
Is as sweet as sugar and just as fine[00:02:34]
I don't care one bit that the pines are gone[00:02:40]
But I do care what they look like at dawn[00:02:46]
I'm not concerned that their life is drawn[00:02:51]
But what happens to the land without their brawn [00:02:57]
And so his journey goes though his story's old[00:03:02]
But a tale is not trite if it's still being told[00:03:14]
