Later on his wife brought hot bologna [00:01:12]

Well I told him who I was and told him[00:01:54]

I was working steady[00:01:57]

He said "The judge'll be here any day"[00:02:07]

The jailer had a wife and let me tell you [00:02:12]

She was awful[00:02:14]

But she brought that hot bologna every day[00:02:16]

And after seven days she got to lookin'[00:02:20]

I asked her if she'd like to run away[00:02:24]

The next mornin' that old judge[00:02:28]

Took every nickel that I had[00:02:30]

And he said "Son let this teach you not to race"[00:02:33]

The jailer's wife was smilin' from the window as I left[00:02:37]

In thirty minutes I was out of state[00:02:41]
