I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street[00:00:42]

It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right[00:00:57]

And we had just gotten back off tour last night[00:00:59]

So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy[00:01:02]

If we summoned up the posse and dumb rush the movies[00:01:05]

I got Angie Jeff got Tina[00:01:08]

Ready rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life[00:01:11]

That was all right though 'cause the lady was chill[00:01:14]

Then we dipped to the theater set to ill[00:01:16]

We saw elm street and man it was def[00:01:20]

And everything seemed all right when we left[00:01:22]

But when I got home and laid down to sleep[00:01:25]

That began the nightmare but on my street[00:01:28]

It was burning in my room like an oven[00:01:42]

My bed soaked with sweat and man I was buggin'[00:01:45]

I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30[00:01:47]

It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty[00:01:50]

I went downstairs to grab some juice or a coke[00:01:53]

Flipped the TV off and then I almost choked[00:01:55]

When I heard this awful voice comin' from behind[00:01:58]

It said you turned off David Letterman now you must die[00:02:01]

Man I ain't even wait to see who it was[00:02:04]

Broke outside in my drawers and screamed so long cuz[00:02:07]

Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming[00:02:10]

Then thought oh I get it I must be dreaming[00:02:13]

I strolled back home with a grin on my grill[00:02:15]

I figured since this is a dream I might as well get ill[00:02:18]

I walked in the house the big bad Fresh Prince[00:02:21]

But Freddy killed all that noise real quick[00:02:24]

He grabbed me by my neck and said here's what we'll do[00:02:27]

Then I opened up the door and said take care guy[00:02:52]

He got mad drew back his arm and slashed my shirt[00:02:54]

I laughed at first then thought hold up that hurt[00:02:58]

I said Freddy uh pal there's been an awful mistake here[00:03:03]

No further words and then I darted upstairs[00:03:06]

Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed[00:03:09]

Pulled the covers up over my head[00:03:12]

And said oh please do somethin' with Fred[00:03:14]

He jumped on my bed ripped through the covers with his claws[00:03:17]

Tried to get me but my alarm went off[00:03:20]

And then silence it was a whole new day[00:03:22]

I thought huh I wasn't scared of him anyway[00:03:25]

Until I noticed those rips in my sheets[00:03:29]

And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street[00:03:31]
