All political movements in their present form have failed[00:01:05]

But Homo sapiens have not yet failed[00:01:11]

Yes we are failing[00:01:20]

But there is still time to turn everything around[00:01:23]

We can still fix this[00:01:27]

We still have everything in our own hands[00:01:30]

But unless we recognise the overall failures[00:01:34]

Of our current systems[00:01:37]

We most probably don't stand a chance[00:01:39]

We are facing a disaster of unspoken sufferings[00:01:48]

For enormous amounts of people[00:01:52]

And now is not the time for speaking politely[00:01:55]

Or focusing on what we can or cannot say[00:01:59]

Now is the time to speak clearly[00:02:03]

Solving the climate crisis is the greatest[00:02:08]

And most complex challenge[00:02:11]

That Homo sapiens have ever faced[00:02:14]

The main solution however[00:02:18]

Is so simple that even a small child can understand it[00:02:20]

We have to stop our emissions of greenhouse gases[00:02:26]

And either we do that or we don't[00:02:30]

You say that nothing in life is black or white[00:02:36]

But that is a lie a very dangerous lie[00:02:39]

Either we prevent a 1 5 degree of warming[00:02:44]

Or we don't either we avoid setting off[00:02:48]

That irreversible chain reaction beyond human control[00:02:52]

Or we don't either we choose to go on as a civilisation[00:02:56]

Or we don't that is as black or white as it gets[00:03:02]

Because there are no grey areas when it comes to survival[00:03:09]

Now we all have a choice[00:03:19]

We can create transformational action[00:03:22]

That will safeguard the living conditions[00:03:24]

For future generations[00:03:27]

Or we can continue with our business as usual and fail[00:03:29]

That is up to you and me[00:03:35]

And yes we need a system change rather than individual change[00:03:38]

But you cannot have one without the other[00:03:44]

If you look through history[00:03:48]

All the big changes in society have been started[00:03:49]

By people at the grassroots level people like you and me[00:03:53]

So I ask you to please wake up[00:04:00]

And make the changes required possible[00:04:02]

To do your best is no longer good enough[00:04:08]

We must all do the seemingly impossible[00:04:12]

Today we use about[00:04:17]

100 million barrels of oil every single day[00:04:19]

There are no politics to change that[00:04:25]

There are no rules to keep that oil in the ground[00:04:29]

So we can no longer save the world by playing by the rules[00:04:33]

Because the rules have to be changed[00:04:38]

Everything needs to change and it has to start today[00:04:41]

So everyone out there[00:04:47]

It is now time for civil disobedience[00:04:49]

It is time to rebel[00:04:53]
