One unhappy day came the duckling[00:00:53]

He was much too gray and too fluffy[00:01:08]

As the other ducks loudly opined[00:01:12]

When he cried they said:[00:01:16]

"don't get huffy[00:01:18]

You can keep on living we don't mind[00:01:19]

It's just that you're so ugly "[00:01:23]

So he left early in the morning[00:01:31]

But he found wherever he would roam[00:01:35]

That despite some changes in the sceenry[00:01:39]

Everyone was as vile as at home[00:01:43]

As he settled in for the winter[00:01:47]

Overhead flew a flock of such birds[00:01:50]

That his vision stuck like a spinter[00:01:54]

They were all too beautiful for words[00:01:58]

That winter it was freezing[00:02:02]

I can't tell you how much he suffered [00:02:10]

He was paddling round the lake when[00:02:18]

His poor feet were frozen in the ice[00:02:22]

When it snowed again he was buried[00:02:25]

Then it snowed some more over his head[00:02:29]

There he sat too cold to be worried[00:02:33]

Truth to tell he just thought he was dead[00:02:36]

He didn't mind that one bit[00:02:41]

But the spring was here and a thaw came[00:02:48]

Our half-dead little hero survived [00:02:52]

And the daffodil and the crocus[00:02:56]

Sang aloud: "one more spring has arrived "[00:02:59]

And the lovely birds gathered round him[00:03:03]

He was nuzzled and doted upon[00:03:07]

Then he knew his family had found him[00:03:10]

He'd become the most beautiful swan[00:03:14]

"I never dreamed of such amazing luck[00:03:19]

When I was just an ugly little duck "[00:03:27]
