Lie Still, Sleep Becalmed - Richard Burton[00:00:00]
Lie still sleep becalmed [00:00:01]
Sufferer with the wound[00:00:04]
In the throat burning and turning [00:00:06]
All night afloat[00:00:11]
On the silent sea we have heard the sound[00:00:12]
That came from the wound wrapped[00:00:14]
In the salt sheet [00:00:17]
Under the mile off moon we trembled listening[00:00:21]
To the sea sound flowing like[00:00:25]
Blood from the loud wound[00:00:27]
And when the salt sheet broke[00:00:29]
In a storm of singing[00:00:31]
The voices of all the drowned swam on the wind [00:00:34]
Open a pathway through the slow sad sail [00:00:41]
Throw wide to the wind[00:00:45]
The gates of the wandering boat[00:00:47]
For my voyage to begin to the end of my wound [00:00:49]
We heard the sea sound sing [00:00:55]
We saw the salt sheet tell [00:00:59]
Lie still sleep becalmed [00:01:03]
Hide the mouth in the throat [00:01:08]
Or we shall obey [00:01:11]
And ride with you through the drowned[00:01:13]
