An Old Scab - Crash Test Dummies[00:00:01]
Written by:Brad Roberts[00:00:02]
I sit each morning[00:00:05]
Look at my empty notebook[00:00:08]
The room is quiet[00:00:11]
The air conditioning sounds like rain falling[00:00:12]
Manic depressive[00:00:23]
Composer Robert Schumann[00:00:26]
When he could not write[00:00:28]
Get down on his knees[00:00:30]
And he would pray for help[00:00:32]
It's not as bad[00:00:41]
As eating your own liver[00:00:43]
But still I'd like to think[00:00:46]
That there are better methods[00:00:48]
I try to tackle[00:00:56]
The page that lay before me[00:00:58]
But then I drift off[00:01:01]
And think about the concept[00:01:03]
Of benwah balls[00:01:05]
I rouse myself and[00:01:14]
I finish washing dishes[00:01:16]
Make lists of errands[00:01:19]
Make all my phone calls[00:01:21]
Then I pray for help[00:01:23]
But each time[00:01:32]
I try to make a fresh stab[00:01:33]
I end up[00:01:36]
Just picking at an old scab[00:01:38]
