Montana Rodeo - Chris Ledoux[00:00:02]
There's a rodeo in Montana[00:00:07]
Where they come from miles around[00:00:11]
Where they throw the hooligan[00:00:14]
And a bunch of beer cans[00:00:16]
All over that little cow town from Friday night[00:00:18]
To Sunday afternoon[00:00:23]
The party goes on nonstop[00:00:25]
Ranch hands and rodeo fans[00:00:28]
Are drinking up the very last drop[00:00:31]
And they all head for Montana[00:00:36]
At the foot of the Great Divide[00:00:40]
To tie one up or tie one onor to tear[00:00:43]
It down or ride[00:00:47]
So if you're lookin' for a rondavue[00:00:50]
Where the Wild West never dies[00:00:54]
You best make it on up to Montana[00:00:57]
On the right day in July[00:01:00]
Now there's some college boys[00:01:05]
For lazuli here school is just let out[00:01:07]
They got a keg of beer on a tub of ice[00:01:12]
In the back of a brand new Scout[00:01:16]
Well they're all longhorns[00:01:19]
And as sure as you're born[00:01:21]
They'll be checkin' those honey's out[00:01:23]
And the girls in the cut off jeans[00:01:26]
Might just show 'em what its all about[00:01:29]
And there's Indians from the ranches[00:01:34]
All dressed up in cowboy clothes[00:01:37]
Snap button shirts and silver belt buckles[00:01:41]
And boots with pointed toes[00:01:45]
Short hair Stetson hats wiggin' on[00:01:49]
A jug of Yellow Stone[00:01:52]
Well they look more like cowboys[00:01:55]
Then the cowboys I have known[00:01:58]
And there's some hippies here from[00:02:03]
God knows where a puffin' up a cloud of smoke[00:02:05]
They got hair down past their shoulders[00:02:10]
And their clothes are a national joke[00:02:13]
They got beads and leather and bells[00:02:16]
And feathers and moccasins for shoes[00:02:19]
Well they look more like Indians[00:02:24]
Than the real live Indians do[00:02:26]
And then there's barrel racers[00:02:31]
And a bull riders and bronc stompers to boot[00:02:34]
Struttin' their stuff like Peacocks out[00:02:39]
In back of the chutes[00:02:42]
Tight Levis fancy chaps spurs[00:02:46]
With five star rowels[00:02:49]
And the bull just stands there[00:02:52]
Chewin' his cut lookin' wiser[00:02:54]
Than a tree full of owls[00:02:56]
And they all head for Montana[00:03:00]
At the foot of the Great Divide[00:03:04]
To tie one up or tie one onor[00:03:07]
To tear it down or ride[00:03:11]
So if you're lookin' for a rondavue[00:03:14]
Where the Wild West never dies[00:03:18]
You best make it on up to Montana[00:03:20]
On the right day in July[00:03:24]
