The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower - Richard Burton[00:00:00]
The force that through the[00:00:01]
Green fuse drives the flower[00:00:02]
Drives my green age;[00:00:04]
That blasts the roots of trees[00:00:06]
Is my destroyer [00:00:08]
And I am dumb to tell the crooked rose[00:00:10]
My youth is bent by the same wintry fever [00:00:12]
The force that drives the water through the rocks[00:00:17]
Drives my red blood;[00:00:20]
That dries the mouthing streams[00:00:21]
Turns mine to wax [00:00:24]
And I am dumb to mouth unto my veins[00:00:26]
How at the mountain[00:00:29]
Spring the same mouth sucks [00:00:30]
The hand that whirls the water in the pool[00:00:33]
Stirs the quicksand; that ropes the blowing wind[00:00:36]
Hauls my shroud sail [00:00:39]
And I am dumb to tell the hanging man[00:00:42]
How of my clay is made the hangman's lime [00:00:44]
The lips of time leech to the fountain head;[00:00:49]
Love drips and gathers but the fallen blood[00:00:53]
Shall calm her sores [00:00:57]
And I am dumb to tell a weather's wind[00:00:59]
How time has ticked a heaven round the stars [00:01:02]
And I am dumb to tell the lover's tomb[00:01:07]
How at my sheet goes the same crooked worm[00:01:11]
