[00:00:25] About this guy you all know him he had me scared as hell

[00:00:33] He wears the same hat and sweater every single day
[00:00:36] And even if it's hot outside he wears it anyway
[00:00:39] He's gone when I'm awake but he shows up when I'm asleep
[00:00:42] I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street
[00:00:56] It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right
[00:00:58] And we had just gotten back off tour last night
[00:01:01] So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy
[00:01:04] If we summoned up the posse and done rushed the movies
[00:01:07] I got Angie Jeff got Tina
[00:01:10] Ready rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life
[00:01:13] That was all right because the lady was chill
[00:01:15] Then we dipped to the theater set to ill
[00:01:18] Bugging cold having a ball
[00:01:21] And something bout elm street was the movie we saw
[00:01:24] The way it started was decent ya know nothing real fancy
[00:01:27] Bout this guy named Fred and this girl named Nancy
[00:01:30] But word when it was over I said yo that was def.
[00:01:32] And everything seemed all right when we left
[00:01:35] But when I got home and laid down to sleep
[00:01:38] That began the nightmare but on my street
[00:01:53] It was burning in my room like an oven
[00:01:55] My bed soaked with sweat and man I was bugging
[00:01:58] I checked the clock and it stopped at 12 30
[00:02:01] It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty
[00:02:04] I wanted something cool to quench my thirst
[00:02:06] I thought to myself yo this heat is the worst
[00:02:09] But when I got downstairs I noticed something was wrong
[00:02:12] I was home all alone but the TV was on
[00:02:15] I thought nothing of it as I grabbed the remote
[00:02:17] I pushed the power button and then I almost choked
[00:02:20] When I heard this awful voice coming from behind
[00:02:23] It said you cut off heavy metal and now you must die
[00:02:26] Man I ain't even wait to see who it was
[00:02:29] Broke outside my drawers and screamed so long cuz
[00:02:31] Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming
[00:02:34] Then thought oh I get it I must be dreaming
[00:02:37] I strolled back home with a grin on my grill
[00:02:40] I figured since this is a dream I might as well get ill
[00:02:43] I walked in the house the big bad fresh prince
[00:02:46] But Freddy killed all that noise real quick
[00:02:48] He grabbed me by my neck and said here's what we'll do
[00:02:51] We gotta lotta work here me and you

[00:03:11] Fred got mad and his head started steaming
[00:03:14] But I thought what the hell I'm only dreaming
[00:03:17] I said please leave Fred so I can get some sleep

[00:03:22] I patted him on the shoulder said thanks for stopping by
[00:03:25] Then I opened up the door and said take care guy
[00:03:28] He got mad drew back his arm and slashed my shirt
[00:03:31] I laughed at first then thought hold up that hurt
[00:03:34] It wasn't a dream man this guy was for real
[00:03:36] I said Freddy uh pal there's been an awful mistake here
[00:03:39] No further words and then I darted upstairs
[00:03:42] Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed
[00:03:46] Pulled the covers up over my head
[00:03:48] And said oh please do something with Fred
[00:03:50] He jumped on my bed went through the covers with his claws
[00:03:53] Tried to get me but my alarm went off
[00:03:56] And then silence it was a whole new day
[00:03:59] I thought uh I wasn't scared of him anyway
