[00:00:22] Now I have a story that I'd like to tell
[00:00:25] About this guy you all know
[00:00:26] He had me scared as hell
[00:00:28] He comes to me at night after I crawl into bed
[00:00:30] He's burnt up like a weenie and his name is Fred
[00:00:33] He wears the same hat and sweater every single day
[00:00:36] And even if it's hot outside he wears it anyway
[00:00:39] He's home when I'm awake
[00:00:40] But he shows up when I sleep
[00:00:42] I can't believe that there's a nightmare on my street
[00:00:56] It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right
[00:00:58] And we had just gotten back off tour last night
[00:01:01] So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy
[00:01:04] If we summoned up the posse
[00:01:06] And done rushed the movie
[00:01:08] I got Angie and Jeff got Tina
[00:01:10] Ready Rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life
[00:01:13] That was all right because the lady was chill
[00:01:15] Then we dipped to the theater set to
[00:01:18] I'll buggin cold having a ball
[00:01:21] Something about Elmst was the movie we saw
[00:01:25] The way it started was decent you know nuthing real fancy
[00:01:27] About this homeboy named fred and this girl named nancy
[00:01:30] But word when it was over I said yo that was def
[00:01:32] And everything seemed
[00:01:33] All right when we left
[00:01:35] But when I got home and laid my head down to sleep
[00:01:39] That began the nightmare on my street
[00:01:52] It was burning in my room like an oven
[00:01:55] My bed soaked with sweat
[00:01:57] And man I was bugging
[00:01:58] I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30
[00:02:01] It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty
[00:02:04] I wanted something cool to quench my thirst
[00:02:07] I thought to myself yo this heat is the worst
[00:02:09] But when I got downstairs
[00:02:11] I noticed something was wrong
[00:02:12] I was home all alone but the TV was on
[00:02:15] I thought nothing off it as I grabbed the remote
[00:02:18] I pushed the power button and then I almost choked
[00:02:20] When I heard this awful voice coming from behind it said
[00:02:24] You turned off David Letterman now you must die
[00:02:26] Man I ain't even wait to see who it was Broke
[00:02:29] Inside my drawers and screamed so long cuz
[00:02:32] Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming
[00:02:34] Then thought oh I get it I must be dreaming
[00:02:38] I strolled back home with a grin on my grill
[00:02:40] I think that since this is a dream I might as well get ill
[00:02:43] I walked in the house the Big Bad Fresh Prince
[00:02:46] But Freddy killed all that noise real quick
[00:02:49] He grabbed me by my neck and said
[00:02:52] Here's what we'll do We gotta lotta work here
[00:02:55] The souls of your friends you and
[00:02:56] I will claim You've got the body and I've got the brain
[00:03:00] I said Yo Fred I think you got me all wrong
[00:03:03] I ain't partners with nobody with nails that long
[00:03:06] Look I'll be honest man this team won't work
[00:03:09] The girls won't be on you Fred your face is all burnt
[00:03:12] Fred got mad and his head started steaming
[00:03:15] But I thought what the hell I'm only dreaming
[00:03:17] I said please leave Fred so I can get some sleep
[00:03:20] But give me a call maybe we'll hang out next week
[00:03:23] I patted him on the shoulder
[00:03:24] Said thanks for stopping by
[00:03:26] Then I opened up the door and said take care guy
[00:03:29] He got mad drew back his arm and slashed my shirt
[00:03:32] I laughed at first then thought hold up
[00:03:33] That hurt it wasn't a dream man this guy was for real
[00:03:36] I said Freddy uh pal there's been an awful mistake here
[00:03:40] No further words and then I darted upstairs
[00:03:43] Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed
[00:03:45] Pulled the covers up over my head and said
[00:03:48] Oh please do something with Fred
[00:03:50] He jumped on my bed went through the covers with his claws
[00:03:53] Tried to get me but my alarm went off and then silence
