[00:00:00] Once upon a time there was an orchestra [00:00:03] Which was all busy tuning up [00:00:05] First the oboe gave his A to the strings [00:00:08] Then to the woodwinds and to the brass [00:00:13] Up and around the scales [00:00:14] They raced helter-skelter [00:00:16] Faster and faster [00:00:20] All but Tubby the tuba; [00:00:24] He was a fat little tubaPuffing away [00:00:27] But oh so slow [00:00:32] 'Oh what lovely music [00:00:34] ' thought Tubby and he sighed ' [00:00:39] Here what's the matter ' [00:00:40] Said Peepo the Piccolo [00:00:47] 'Oh ' said Tubby ' [00:00:48] Every time we do a new piece [00:00:50] You all get such pretty melodies to play [00:00:52] And I never never a pretty melody ' [00:00:56] But people never write pretty melodies for tubas [00:00:58] It just isn't done [00:01:00] Shhh there's the conductor [00:01:03] First the violins danced [00:01:04] Their lovely little tune on their strings [00:01:10] Then they cried to the flute [00:01:12] 'Catch ' 'Got it ' cried the flute [00:01:19] 'My turn ' tooted the trumpet [00:01:27] And the rest joined in [00:01:31] The cello then the oboe [00:01:42] And the bassoon [00:01:50] While Tubby went oompah oompah [00:01:53] Oompah oompah'Catch me ' [00:01:55] The little tune 'Catch me ' [00:02:00] 'Hmhmhmhm I got you ' [00:02:01] Cried Tubby 'Oh you're sitting on me [00:02:05] ' said the little tune [00:02:08] Poor Tubby picked up the flat little tune [00:02:10] And tried to squeeze it back into shape [00:02:13] 'You clumsy fool ' [00:02:14] Snapped the violins 'I'm sorry Mr Fiddle ' [00:02:18] Said Tubby 'Fiddle Fiddle indeed ' [00:02:22] And the violins quivered with great indignation ' [00:02:26] You will please address us as violins [00:02:29] Fiddles indeed ' [00:02:32] 'Tubby ' said the conductor [00:02:33] 'Tubby what is the matter ' [00:02:37] 'Please sir I thought it would be so nice to dance [00:02:40] With the pretty little tune [00:02:42] Instead of just going oompah oompah all the time ' [00:02:46] 'Dance ' laughed the violins [00:02:48] 'Dance Well really ' [00:02:51] The French horn quietly [00:02:53] Put his hand to his mouth and smiled [00:02:55] And the whole orchestra began to laugh [00:03:01] 'Stop it ' [00:03:02] The conductor 'Stop it I say Tubby ' [00:03:06] 'Please sir [00:03:07] I wasn't laughing ' Rehearsal was over [00:03:14] Tubby was walking home with Pipo the Piccolo [00:03:22] 'Please Peepo ' said Tubby 'I just feel so bad [00:03:26] I don't think I want any company ' [00:03:29] 'I understand ' [00:03:30] Peepo 'Good night ''Good night ' said Tubby [00:03:36] The moon was out and Tubby [00:03:37] Went to the river and sat on a log [00:03:40] And he looked at himself in the water [00:03:43] Alone am I me and I together [00:03:54] If I went away from me [00:04:00] How unhappy I would be [00:04:06] Me and I oh my [00:04:13] The trees whispered in the wind [00:04:16] And the waterfalls tinkled Suddenly [00:04:23] A big bullfrog hopped out of the water [00:04:25] And sat beside him (croaking) [00:04:32] Lovely evening I said lovely evening [00:04:39] I said beautiful evening [00:04:42] Hello hello hello [00:04:47] But Tubby just sat 'Oh well said the frog [00:04:51] 'Oh well If I'm not wanted ''Oh ' cried Tubby ' [00:04:55] Please Mr Frog come back [00:04:57] I didn't mean to be impolite [00:04:59] 'Back hopped the frog 'Oh that's all right [00:05:02] I'm used to it No one pays any attention to me [00:05:06] Either ''Really ' said Tubby 'Why of course [00:05:10] Every night I sit here and sing my heart out [00:05:14] But does anyone listen
