The Real Damage - Frank Turner (法兰克·透纳)[00:00:00]
Written by:Frank Turner[00:00:01]
I woke up on a sofa in an unfamiliar house[00:00:06]
Surrounded by sleeping folks I didn't know[00:00:11]
On failing to find my friends[00:00:16]
I decided it was clearly time to go[00:00:18]
So I made my way out of the door as quietly as I could[00:00:27]
There was no one there I knew to say goodbye[00:00:32]
Squinting in the sadly sobering sunshine of the Sunday morning light[00:00:38]
I started the night with all my friends and I ended up alone[00:00:48]
No yes I started out so happy now I'm hungover and down[00:00:53]
It was about then that I realized[00:00:59]
I was half way through the best years of my life[00:01:02]
So scanned the local landmarks[00:01:10]
Trying to find out where I was[00:01:12]
Oh maybe even find a bus back home[00:01:15]
I was longing for a shower and for clean sheets[00:01:21]
And a charger for my phone[00:01:25]
And suddenly it hit me that I got paid this Friday last[00:01:32]
And so I rifled through my pockets for some change[00:01:37]
But all I found was a packet of broken cigarettes[00:01:43]
And sinking sense of shame[00:01:46]
Cause I started the night with all my friends[00:01:53]
And I ended up alone[00:01:56]
Oh yes I started out so happy now I'm hungover and down[00:01:57]
It was about then that I realized[00:02:04]
I was half way through the best years of my life[00:02:06]
I had to ask myself well[00:02:11]
Is it really worth it[00:02:16]
Is any of this worth it[00:02:21]
Well the whole things far from perfect[00:02:27]
But I've yet to figure out a better way to spend my time[00:02:30]
Too many suits and dirty looks made me rack my brains[00:02:42]
And the real damage started to sink in[00:02:47]
I'd been quite a heavy weekend[00:02:52]
But I could just about remember where I'd been[00:02:55]
Cause I started the night with all my friends[00:03:03]
And I ended up alone[00:03:06]
Oh yes I started out so happy now I'm hungover and down[00:03:08]
I stood on a street corner and I felt a little sick[00:03:14]
It was about then that I realized I was halfway through[00:03:19]
The first day of the week[00:03:24]
