Tapestry (挂毯) - Nana Mouskouri (娜娜·穆斯库莉)[00:00:00]
My life has been a tapestry[00:00:11]
Of rich and royal hue[00:00:14]
An ever lasting vision[00:00:17]
Of the ever-changing view[00:00:21]
A wonderous woven magic[00:00:24]
In bits of blue and gold[00:00:27]
A tapestry to feel and see [00:00:31]
Impossible to hold[00:00:35]
Once amid the soft and silver sadness in the sky[00:00:40]
There came a man of fortune a drifter passing by[00:00:46]
He wore a torn and tattered cloth around his leathered hide[00:00:54]
And a coat of many colors yellow green on either side[00:01:01]
He moved with some uncertainty as if he din't know[00:01:13]
Just what he was there for or where he ought to go[00:01:20]
Once he reached for something golden hanging from a tree[00:01:27]
And his hand came down empty[00:01:33]
Soon within my tapestry along the rutted road[00:01:42]
He sat upon on a river rock and turned into a toad[00:01:49]
It seem that he had fallen into someone's wicked spell[00:01:56]
And I wept to see him suffer [00:02:03]
Though I didn't know him well[00:02:08]
As I watched in sorrow then suddenly appeared[00:02:13]
A figure grey and ghostly beneath a flowing beard[00:02:19]
In time of deepest darkness[00:02:26]
I've seen him dressed in black[00:02:30]
Now my tapestry's unravelling;[00:02:33]
He's come to take me back[00:02:38]
He's come to take me back[00:02:42]
He's come to take me back[00:02:47]
