That was alright because the lady was chill[00:01:14]

And somethin' about Elm St was the movie we saw[00:01:21]

The way it started was decent you know nuthin' real fancy[00:01:24]

About this homeboy named Fred and this girl named Nancy[00:01:27]

And everything seemed all right when we left[00:01:33]

But when I got home and laid down to sleep[00:01:35]

That began the nightmare on my street[00:01:38]

It was burning in my room like an oven[00:01:53]

My bed soaked with sweat and man I was bugging[00:01:55]

I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30[00:01:58]

It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty[00:02:01]

I wanted something cool to quench my thirst[00:02:04]

I thought to myself yo this heaters the worst[00:02:07]

But when I got downstairs I noticed something was wrong[00:02:09]

I was home all alone but the TV was on[00:02:12]

I thought nothin' off it as I grabbed the remote[00:02:15]

I pushed the power button and then I almost choked[00:02:18]

When I heard this awful voice coming from behind It said[00:02:20]

"You got my favorite letter but now you must die"[00:02:24]

Man I ain't even wait to see who it was[00:02:26]

Broke inside my drawers and screamed "So long 'cuz"[00:02:29]

Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screaming[00:02:31]

Then thought "Oh I get it I must be dreaming"[00:02:36]

I strolled back home with a grin on my grill[00:02:38]

I think that since this is a dream I might as well get ill[00:02:40]

I walked in the house the Big Bad Fresh Prince[00:02:43]

But Freddy killed all that noise real quick[00:02:46]

He grabbed me by my neck and said[00:02:49]

I patted him on the shoulder said "Thanks for stopping by"[00:03:23]

Then I opened up the door and said "Take care guy"[00:03:25]

He got mad drew back his arm and slashed my shirt[00:03:28]

I laughed at first then thought "Hold up that hurt"[00:03:31]

It wasn't a dream man this guy was for real[00:03:34]

I said "Freddy uh pal there's been an awful mistake here"[00:03:37]

No further words and then I darted upstairs[00:03:40]

Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed[00:03:42]

Pulled the covers up over my head and said[00:03:46]

"Oh please do something with Fred"[00:03:48]

He jumped on my bed went through the covers with his claws[00:03:51]

Tried to get me but my alarm went off and then silence[00:03:54]

It was a whole new day I thought[00:03:58]

"Huh I wasn't scared of him anyway"[00:04:00]

Until I noticed those rips in my sheets[00:04:02]

And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street[00:04:05]
