Town Called Ugley (Live in Milton Keynes) - Ward Thomas[00:00:01]
Written by:Catherine Ward Thomas/Elizabeth Ward Thomas/Matthew Greaves/Ann Marie Simmons[00:00:04]
Left in plenty of time and thank God we did[00:00:36]
The clock kept screaming the time and the tires skid[00:00:42]
Turn left bout a half hour later[00:00:47]
We were right back where we began[00:00:52]
When we started this trip[00:00:54]
It wasn't just my mood that was going down hill[00:00:57]
It even felt we were being pursued when the car stood still[00:01:02]
Turn right the Tom Tom said[00:01:08]
I wanna chuck it right out of the car[00:01:13]
And leave it for dead[00:01:15]
I swear we drove right past the old kings head[00:01:18]
25 times or more[00:01:21]
The wipers stopped and catherine said[00:01:24]
I can't take this any more[00:01:26]
So lizzy jumped out and took the wheel[00:01:29]
She coulda took us to the moon and back[00:01:31]
By the time that we got out and slammed the door[00:01:34]
In a town called UGLEY[00:01:39]
Swerved more than a couple times for a black alpaca[00:01:47]
Delayed in every kind of way so time was a factor[00:01:52]
Only made worse by a broken down tractor[00:01:55]
Turn round and slam on the brakes[00:01:57]
Or we will drive straight down the road to find our next mistake[00:02:02]
I swear we drove right past the old kings head[00:02:08]
25 times or more[00:02:11]
The wipers stopped and catherine said[00:02:13]
I can't take this any more[00:02:15]
So lizzy jumped out and took the wheel[00:02:19]
She could of took us to the moon and back[00:02:21]
By the time that we got out and slammed the door[00:02:24]
In a town called UGLEY[00:02:29]
So after driving right past the old kings head[00:02:52]
55 times or more[00:02:55]
The tire's flat and the battery's dead[00:02:58]
It doesn't matter any more[00:03:00]
We survived this drive to tell the tale[00:03:03]
What the hell did we come here for[00:03:05]
We couldn't wait to get out and finally slam the door[00:03:08]
On a town[00:03:13]
That bloody town[00:03:14]
It's a cotton picking town called UGLEY[00:03:15]
