One night by the light of the moon[00:00:13]

The captain told us to ford a river[00:00:16]

That's how it all begun[00:00:19]

We were knee deep in the Big Muddy[00:00:21]

But the big fool said to push on[00:00:24]

The sergeant said sir are you sure[00:00:31]

This is the best way back to the base[00:00:33]

Sergeant go on I forded this river[00:00:36]

About a mile above this place[00:00:39]

It'll be a little soggy but just keep slogging[00:00:41]

We'll soon be on dry ground[00:00:44]

We were waist deep in the Big Muddy[00:00:47]

And the big fool said to push on[00:00:50]

The sergeant said sir with all this equipment[00:00:56]

About a half mile from where we'd gone[00:01:56]

We were lucky to escape from the Big Muddy[00:01:59]

I'll leave that for yourself[00:02:11]
