Spanish Fireball - Hank Snow[00:00:00]
Written by:Hank Snow/Dan Welsh[00:00:01]
I met a girl in Laredo down in Mexico[00:00:05]
While I was makin' the rounds[00:00:09]
Down in a dim cafe she does the swing and sway[00:00:11]
That's the talk of the town[00:00:13]
I never learned her name but she's called the Spanish fireball[00:00:16]
While she kept the rhythm with her hips from her ruby lips[00:00:22]
Came a love song so bright[00:00:25]
And as she rumbaed by the fire in her eyes[00:00:27]
Looked like flames in the night[00:00:29]
That was then I understood why she's called the Spanish fireball[00:00:32]
I finally asked her for a dance and I got the chance[00:00:53]
Holding her closely to me[00:00:56]
While we were cheek to cheek I grew too weak to speak[00:00:59]
And it was plain to see[00:01:01]
That I had fallen in love with this cute little Spanish fireball[00:01:04]
She wore a ruby bracelet and a blue white diamond[00:01:09]
Upon her little brown hand[00:01:12]
She made a perfect date and in her Cadillac eight[00:01:15]
Love began to expand[00:01:17]
I played the part and gave my heart to the Spanish fireball[00:01:20]
We wandered out beneath the stars while the old guitars[00:01:43]
Strummed a Mexican tune[00:01:46]
And as I stole a kiss I knew too well that this[00:01:48]
Would all end too soon[00:01:51]
'Cause I must go away and leave my Spanish fireball[00:01:53]
As that old moon was sinking low I heard the whistle blow[00:01:59]
My train was pulling in sight[00:02:03]
And so we kissed goodbye the tears were in her eyes[00:02:04]
As I left in the night[00:02:07]
But someday I'll go back and claim my Spanish fireball[00:02:09]
