A Poem On The Underground Wall (Live) - Simon & Garfunkel (西蒙与加丰科)[00:00:00]
Written by:Paul Simon[00:00:00]
The last train is nearly due[00:02:37]
The underground is closing soon[00:02:39]
And in the dark deserted station[00:02:41]
Restless in anticipation[00:02:43]
A man waits in the shadows[00:02:46]
His restless eyes leap and scratch[00:02:52]
At all that they can touch or catch[00:02:54]
Hidden deep within his pocket[00:02:57]
Safe within its silent socket[00:02:59]
He holds a colored crayon[00:03:01]
Now from the tunnel's stony womb[00:03:07]
The carriage rides to meet the groom[00:03:10]
And opens wide and welcome doors[00:03:12]
But he hesitates then withdraws[00:03:14]
Deeper in the shadows[00:03:16]
And the train is gone suddenly[00:03:23]
On wheels clicking silently[00:03:27]
Like a gently tapping litany[00:03:31]
And he holds his crayon rosary[00:03:35]
Tighter in his hand[00:03:38]
Now from his pocket quick he flashes[00:03:43]
The crayon on the wall he slashes[00:03:45]
Deep upon the advertising[00:03:48]
A single worded poem comprised[00:03:49]
Of four letters[00:03:52]
And his heart is laughing screaming pounding[00:03:55]
The poem across the tracks rebounding[00:03:58]
Shadowed by the exit light[00:04:00]
His legs take their ascending flight[00:04:02]
To seek the breast of darkness and be suckled by the night[00:04:04]
