Ding-A-Ling - Lynn Anderson/The Jordanaires[00:00:00]
Gather round and I will tell the story of a Christmas bell[00:00:10]
That used to shine and chime and ring[00:00:15]
And why we called him Ding A Ling[00:00:20]
One of the famous jingle bells is what he was but then he fell[00:00:25]
And broke his pretty harmony and he began to ring off key[00:00:30]
Now they call him Ding A Ling because he has a funny ring[00:00:42]
And doesn't hit his note too well Ding A Ling the Christmas bell[00:00:48]
The other bells met secretly and he heard one say in a real low key[00:00:58]
He's sure to ruin our Christmas sound and we don't want him hangin' around[00:01:03]
He overheard the secret vote and walked away with a lump in his note[00:01:13]
The saddest bell you've ever seen the Christmas bell called Ding A Ling[00:01:19]
They all call him Ding A Ling because he has a funny ring[00:01:31]
And doesn't hit his note too well Ding A Ling the Christmas bell[00:01:36]
The snow is falling in the square when the children found him there[00:01:49]
And placed him on the Christmas tree so everyone in town to see[00:01:55]
As Christmas Eve came to the town a blinding snow was coming down[00:02:07]
And Ding A Ling heard someone say ol' Santa's sure to lose his way[00:02:12]
The thought occured to Ding A Ling to ring as loud as he could ring[00:02:22]
And when ol' Santa heard the sound it guided him into the town[00:02:27]
Now the children shout and sing and everyone loves Ding A Ling[00:02:40]
So everything has turned out well for Ding A Ling the Christmas bell[00:02:45]
