It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right[00:00:56]

And we had just gotten back off tour last night[00:00:59]

So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy[00:01:01]

If we summoned up the posse and done rushed the movies[00:01:04]

I got Angie Jeff got Tina[00:01:08]

Ready rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life[00:01:10]

That was all right because the lady was chill[00:01:13]

Then we dipped to the theater set to ill[00:01:16]

Buggin cold havin a ball[00:01:18]

And somethin bout elm street was the movie we saw[00:01:21]

The way it started was decent ya know nothing real fancy[00:01:25]

This girl named Nancy[00:01:28]

But word when it was over I said yo that was def[00:01:30]

And everything seemed all right when we left[00:01:32]

But when I got home and laid down to sleep[00:01:34]

That began the nightmare but on my street[00:01:38]

It was burnin in my room like an oven[00:01:52]

My bed soaked with sweat and man I was buggin[00:01:55]

I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30[00:01:58]

It had melted it was so darn hot and I was thirsty[00:02:01]

I wanted something cool to quench my thirst[00:02:04]

I thought to myself yo this heat is the worst[00:02:06]

But when I got downstairs I noticed something was wrong[00:02:09]

I was home all alone but the TV was on[00:02:12]

I thought nothin of it as I grabbed the remote[00:02:15]

I pushed the power button and then I almost choked[00:02:18]

When I heard this awful voice comin from behind[00:02:20]

It said you cut off heavy metal and now you must die[00:02:23]

Man I ain't even wait to see who it was[00:02:26]

Broke outside my drawers and screamed so long cuz[00:02:29]

Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screamin[00:02:32]

Then thought oh I get it I must be dreamin[00:02:34]

I strolled back home with a grin on my grill[00:02:38]

I figured since this is a dream I might as well get ill[00:02:40]

I walked in the house the big bad fresh prince[00:02:43]

But Freddy killed all that noise real quick[00:02:46]

He grabbed me by my neck and said here's what we'll do[00:02:49]

I patted him on the shoulder said thanks for stopping by[00:03:23]

Then I opened up the door and said take care guy[00:03:25]

He got mad drew back his arm and slashed my shirt[00:03:29]

I laughed at first then thought hold up that hurt[00:03:31]

It wasn't a dream man this guy was for real[00:03:33]

I said Freddy uh pal there's been an awful mistake here[00:03:37]

No further words and then I darted upstairs[00:03:39]

Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed[00:03:42]

Pulled the covers up over my head[00:03:45]

And said oh please do somethin with Fred[00:03:47]

He jumped on my bed went through the covers with his claws[00:03:50]

Tried to get me but my alarm went off[00:03:53]

And then silence it was a whole new day[00:03:56]

I thought uh I wasn't scared of him anyway[00:03:58]

Until I noticed those rips in my sheets[00:04:02]

And that was proof that there had been a nightmare on my street[00:04:05]
