It was a homeless man in Hollywood who got me thinking [00:00:27]
We'd just flown in from San Francisco; we'd been flying[00:00:31]
And driving for weeks This day I saw a homeless man on[00:00:35]
The street in Hollywood I felt the usual mix of sorrow for him [00:00:41]
And anger at a society that makes a man live like this [00:00:48]
Later on I thought about it more he affected me differently [00:00:53]
He really looked together really organised He was a survivor [00:00:59]
I'm sure his life is really tough but I felt a deep sense of[00:01:03]
Respect for him much more than pity Then I asked myself [00:01:09]
Why did I react this way It struck me that here in this crazy[00:01:15]
World there was a man who drives no car who flies no plane [00:01:21]
Who heats no home; in a time of global warming his CO2[00:01:26]
Emissions are pretty much zero This homeless man in[00:01:32]
Hollywood is a model urban citizen [00:01:40]
I on the other hand I live this life of good intentions [00:01:48]
I travel the world I try to be aware of the earth I sing my songs [00:01:52]
I look and hope for change But out on the road I fly everyday [00:01:59]
I drive everyday I heat my home and burn up so much fuel[00:02:03]
That if everyone lived like me we'd need about 4 planets[00:02:13]
Just to keep it all going Sh*t [00:02:16]
Funny how a homeless man in Hollywood got me thinking [00:02:23]
Men like him just walk the walk and men like me [00:02:26]
Well we talk a good talk [00:02:32]
It was a homeless man in Hollywood [00:02:42]
Homeless[00:02:49]
