Damrell's Fire - The Dimes[00:00:00]
It felt like winter everywhere except for Summer Street[00:00:09]
There the flames were all anybody anywhere could see[00:00:19]
And from the top of beacon hill[00:00:26]
We watched the fire spill over water street[00:00:31]
It started quickly[00:00:45]
The flames in a shootout on a city street[00:00:47]
Jumping roof to roof like they were running from a robbery[00:00:55]
And everywhere you turned[00:01:03]
Another building burned[00:01:08]
Now it's all debris[00:01:11]
And everybody knows where they were the night the fire came[00:01:17]
Everybody found who they were the night[00:01:26]
The fire came and swallowed me whole[00:01:30]
Soon with our backs on Broad Street[00:01:43]
The captain told us all we had to hold the line[00:01:46]
But the horses were laid up in bed[00:01:52]
And the engines couldn't make the climb[00:01:56]
So the word spread down the wire[00:02:02]
The flames were getting higher here in damrell's fire[00:02:06]
And everybody knows where they were the night the fire came[00:02:52]
Everybody found who they were the night[00:03:01]
The fire came and swallowed me whole[00:03:05]
