In Old Mexico

I'm sure you're all aware that this week is national gall[00:00:00]

Bladder week and so as sort of an educational feature at[00:00:04]

This point i thought i would acquaint you with some of the[00:00:12]

Results of my recent researches into the career of the late[00:00:14]

Doctor samuel gall inventor of the gall bladder which[00:00:16]

With certainly ranks as one of the more important technological[00:00:24]

Advances since the invention of the joy buzzer and the dribble[00:00:27]

Glass[00:00:31]

Dr[00:00:33]

Dr gall's faith in his invention was so dramatically vindicated[00:00:37]

Last year as you no doubt recall when for the first time[00:00:40]

In history in a nationwide poll the gall bladder was voted[00:00:44]

Among the top ten organs[00:00:47]

His educational career began interestingly enough in[00:00:59]

Agricultural school where he majored in animal husbandry[00:01:02]

Until they caught him at it one day[00:01:06]

Whereupon whereupon he switched[00:01:25]

To the field of medicine in which field he also won renown as[00:01:27]

The inventor of gargling which prior to that time had been[00:01:31]

Practiced only furtively by a remote tribe in the andes who[00:01:36]

Passed the secret down from father to son as part of their[00:01:41]

Oral tradition[00:01:44]

He soon became a specialist specializing in diseases of the[00:01:53]

Rich he was therefore able to retire at an early age[00:01:57]

To the land we all dream about sunny mexico of course[00:02:10]

The last part of which is completely irrelevant as was the[00:02:14]

Whole thing i guess except it's a rather sneaky way of[00:02:17]

Getting into this next type of popular song which is one[00:02:19]

Of those things about that magic and romantic land south of[00:02:21]

The border[00:02:25]

When it's fiesta time in guadalajara[00:02:35]

Then i long to be back once again[00:02:46]

In old mexico[00:02:49]

Where we lived for today never giving a thought to tomara[00:02:54]

To the strumming of guitars[00:03:01]

In a hundred grubby bars[00:03:03]

I would whisper te amo[00:03:05]

The mariachis would serenade[00:03:09]

And they would not shut up till they were paid[00:03:12]

We ate we drank and we were merry[00:03:15]

And we got typhoid and dysentery[00:03:18]

But best of all we went to the plaza de toros[00:03:26]

Now whenever i start feeling morose[00:03:29]

I revive by recalling that scene[00:03:32]

And names like belmonte domingu'in and manolete[00:03:39]

If i live to a hundred and eighty[00:03:43]

I shall never forget what they mean[00:03:45]

For there is surely nothing more beautiful in this[00:03:56]

World than the sight of a lone man facing single-handedly[00:03:59]

A half a ton of angry pot roast[00:04:04]

Out came the matador[00:04:16]

Who must have been potted or[00:04:17]

Slightly insane but who looked rather bored[00:04:19]

Then the picadors of course[00:04:25]

Each one on his horse[00:04:27]

I shouted olé ev'ry time one was gored[00:04:28]

I cheered at the banderilleros' display[00:04:35]

As they stuck the bull in their own clever way[00:04:38]

For i hadn't had so much fun since the day[00:04:40]

My brother's dog rover[00:04:44]

Got run over[00:04:46]

Rover was killed by a pontiac and it was done[00:04:53]

With such grace and artistry that the witnesses awarded the[00:04:57]

Driver both ears and the tail but i digress[00:05:01]

The moment had come[00:05:16]

I swallowed my gum[00:05:17]

We knew there'd be blood on the sand pretty soon[00:05:19]

The crowd held its breath[00:05:25]

Hoping that death[00:05:27]

Would brighten an otherwise dull afternoon[00:05:28]

At last the matador did what we wanted him to[00:05:34]

He raised his sword and his aim was true[00:05:38]

In that moment of truth i suddenly knew[00:05:40]

That someone had stolen my wallet[00:05:46]

Now it's fiesta time in akron ohio[00:05:57]

But it's back to old guadalajara i'm longing to go[00:06:08]

Far away from the strikes of the af of l and cio[00:06:15]

How i wish i could get back[00:06:22]

To the land of the wetback[00:06:24]

And forget the alamo[00:06:25]

In old mexico[00:06:29]
