James: So what do you see as the most effective [00:00:00]
means of advertising? TV, radio, or print?[00:00:02]
Steve: That all depends on what you mean [00:00:07]
by “effective”. [00:00:08]
Do you mean reach the widest audience, [00:00:10]
or cost the least, or what?[00:00:13]
James: I mean what gives us [00:00:15]
the most bang for the buck. [00:00:17]
Obviously TV will show our capabilities the best,[00:00:18]
but it is also expensive. [00:00:22]
I am concerned that if we use print media [00:00:24]
they can’t really see the quality.[00:00:27]
What do you think?[00:00:29]
Steve: Well, first let’s both agree to ignore radio. [00:00:31]
Paul thinks we should use radio, [00:00:35]
as there is a large listening audience. [00:00:37]
But I say that in order to see [00:00:39]
the quality of our product, [00:00:41]
you really have to see it. Do you agree?[00:00:43]
James: Agreed. So where do we go from here? TV ?[00:00:47]
Steve: Actually, I think TV is good, [00:00:52]
but simply too expensive. [00:00:55]
Too much of our budget would be drained [00:00:56]
and not all that much sales revenue [00:00:59]
would be generated.[00:01:02]
James:Ok,so do you have a better option? [00:01:04]
Like I said, print media won’t really show off [00:01:06]
our best digital features.[00:01:09]
Steve: Ah, that’s where we disagree. [00:01:12]
I think we could reduce our print media [00:01:14]
focus to glossy magazines only. [00:01:17]
The cost would be lower than TV by far, [00:01:21]
but our features could still be seen.[00:01:23]
James: How many males 35 to 40 years old [00:01:26]
could we expect to reach?[00:01:29]
Steve: Surprisingly, our marketing surveys [00:01:31]
show about 53 million.[00:01:33]
