knocked an old man down and swore he killed him sorry[00:01:34]

then he made his move to an abandoned building[00:01:37]

ran up the stairs up to the top floor[00:01:39]

opened up the door there guess who he saw[00:01:42]

dave the d**e fiend shootin' dope[00:01:44]

he went outside but there was cops all over[00:01:53]

then he dipped into a car a stolen nova[00:01:56]

crashed into a tree near university[00:02:00]

escaped alive though the car was battered[00:02:03]

rat a tat tatted and all the cops scattered[00:02:05]

ran out of bullets and still had static[00:02:07]

grabbed a pregnant lady and pulled out the automatic[00:02:10]

pointed at her head and he said the gun was full o' lead[00:02:12]

he told the cops back off or honey here's dead[00:02:14]

deep in his heart he knew he was wrong[00:02:17]

so he let the lady go and he starts to run on[00:02:19]

sirens sounded he seemed astounded[00:02:21]

before long the lil' boy got surrounded[00:02:24]

he dropped the gun so went the glory[00:02:26]

and this is the way i have to end this story[00:02:28]

he was only seventeen in a madman's dream[00:02:31]

the cops shot the kid i still hear him scream[00:02:33]

this ain't funny so don't ya dare laugh[00:02:35]

just another case about the wrong path[00:02:38]
