While the comet spreads it's tail across the sky[00:00:54]

It nowhere near defines the course it flies[00:01:03]

Nor does it find it's own direction[00:01:10]

Though the path of the comet be sure[00:01:27]

It's constitution is not[00:01:31]

So it's meaning is possibly more[00:01:37]

Than the tracing of a tail[00:01:41]

In one brief shot at glory[00:01:43]

Love and peace and individuality[00:02:31]

So order and society are man made[00:02:39]

War and hate and dark depravity[00:02:47]

Or are we slaves[00:02:54]

Channeling aggressive energies[00:03:00]

The death wish and the will to survive[00:03:08]

Into finding and preserving enemies[00:03:16]

Is that the only way we know that we're alive[00:03:22]

In the slaughterhouse all corpses smell the same[00:03:31]

Whether queens or pawns or innocents at the game[00:03:39]

In the cemetery a uniform cloaks the graves[00:03:47]

Except for outward pomp and circumstance[00:03:55]

There is a time set in the calendar[00:04:02]

When all reason seems barely enough[00:04:08]

To sustain all the shooting stars[00:04:19]

Times are rough[00:04:25]

And I'm waiting for something to happen here[00:04:30]

It feels as though it's long overdue[00:04:39]

Maybe a restatement of yesteryear[00:04:48]

Or something entirely new[00:04:54]

And the knowledge that we gain in part[00:04:59]

Always leads us closer to the very start[00:05:07]

And to the founding questions[00:05:14]

How can I tell that the road signed to hell[00:05:28]

Doesn't lead up to heaven[00:05:36]
