Isle of Innisfree - Larry Cunningham[00:00:00]
Written by:Richard Farrelly[00:00:00]
I've met some folks who say that I'm a dreamer[00:00:08]
And I've no doubt there's truth in what they say[00:00:17]
But sure a body's bound to be a dreamer[00:00:25]
When all the things he loves are far away[00:00:33]
And precious things are dreams unto an exile[00:00:41]
They take him o'er the land across the sea[00:00:49]
Especially when it happens he's an exile[00:00:58]
Far from that lovely Isle of Inisfree[00:01:06]
And when the moonlight peeps across the rooftops[00:01:14]
Of this great city wondrous though it be[00:01:22]
I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter[00:01:30]
I'm once again back home in Inisfree[00:01:39]
I wander o'er green hills through dreamy valleys[00:01:55]
And find a peace no other land would know[00:02:03]
I hear the birds make music fit for angels[00:02:12]
And watch the rivers laughing as they flow[00:02:20]
But dreams don't last[00:02:28]
Though dreams are not forgotten[00:02:31]
And soon I'm back to stern reality[00:02:36]
But though they pave the footways here with gold dust[00:02:44]
I still would choose my Isle of Inisfree[00:02:53]
