Second Family Portrait - Radical Face[00:00:00]
My life started slow[00:00:32]
In a town of idle minds[00:00:35]
Where daydreams filled the space[00:00:38]
Between our simple dramas[00:00:41]
And my mom was strange[00:00:45]
But she'd always liked to sew[00:00:48]
And my clothes smelled like[00:00:53]
The room I was born in[00:00:55]
And my dad calm[00:00:59]
Never used two words when one'd do[00:01:01]
And my brother's hands were mischief bent[00:01:06]
With no will to stop 'em[00:01:09]
And on the whole[00:01:13]
We lived simply and day-to-day[00:01:16]
Our fears were trivial[00:01:18]
They always died with every sunset[00:01:21]
When I was twelve[00:01:54]
My affliction came to light[00:01:57]
And I was told that some things I heard[00:02:01]
Were only there in my head[00:02:04]
But I couldn't tell[00:02:08]
Which were real and which were now[00:02:10]
And the question loomed over all I did[00:02:14]
Whether I could trust it[00:02:17]
And I guess over time[00:02:23]
It became too much[00:02:26]
And I was sent away[00:02:28]
At my mom's behest[00:02:29]
Cause she'd grown to fear me[00:02:31]
Now I live up north[00:03:03]
In the house for the broken heads[00:03:06]
And my father comes and visits me[00:03:09]
Whenever he can afford it[00:03:12]
Sometimes at night[00:03:16]
When the voices quiet down[00:03:19]
I find I hope that I am missed[00:03:23]
And that they haven't forgot me[00:03:26]
