This man worked for a carnival you dig,[00:01:27]

And to start with it was like[00:01:30]

A novelty ventriliquist act.[00:01:31]

Real funny, too, at first.[00:01:33]

He had a number he called "The Better 'Ole"[00:01:35]

That was a scream, I tell you.[00:01:38]

I forget most of it but it was clever. Like,[00:01:41]

"Oh I say, are you still down there, old thing?"[00:01:45]

"Nah I had to go relieve myself."[00:01:48]

After a while the a** start talking on its own.[00:01:52]

He would go in without anything prepared[00:01:57]

And his a** would ad-lib and toss[00:02:00]

The gags back at him every time.[00:02:03]

Then it developed sort of teeth-like[00:02:07]

Little raspy in-curving hooks and started eating.[00:02:10]

He thought this was cute at first[00:02:16]

And built an act around it,[00:02:18]

But the asshole would eat its way through his pants[00:02:19]

And start talking on the street,[00:02:23]

Shouting out it wanted equal rights.[00:02:25]

It would get drunk, too,[00:02:28]

And have crying jags nobody loved it[00:02:30]

And it wanted to be kissed same as any other mouth.[00:02:33]

Finally it talked all the time day and night,[00:02:37]

You could hear him for blocks[00:02:42]

Screaming at it to shut up,[00:02:44]

And beating it with his fist,[00:02:46]

And sticking candles up it,[00:02:48]

But nothing did any good[00:02:49]

And the asshole said to him:[00:02:52]

"It's you who will shut up in the end. Not me.[00:02:55]

Because we don't need you around here any more.[00:02:58]

I can talk and eat and sh*t."[00:03:02]

After that he began waking up in the morning[00:03:07]

With a transparent jelly like a[00:03:10]

Tadpole's tail all over his mouth.[00:03:12]

This jelly was what the scientists call un-D.T.,[00:03:16]

Which can grow into any kind of flesh[00:03:22]

He would tear it off his mouth[00:03:29]

And the pieces would stick to his hands like[00:03:30]

Burning gasoline jelly and grow there,[00:03:33]

Grow anywhere on him[00:03:36]

Anywhere on him a glob of it fell.[00:03:39]

So finally his mouth sealed over,[00:03:42]

And the whole head[00:03:45]

Would have have amputated spontaneous -[00:03:47]

And only among Negroes[00:03:54]
